Walking in Service to the Source

00:00:00:00 - 00:00:21:17
Moondara
Hey what's up guys? I just took my dogs out for a walk while walking. I was just thinking about my to do list. So as I'm walking, you know, and just working these things out, I'm learning to communicate better with my guide. And I could see certain thoughts, you know, lean towards. Yes. Like, you know, you're onto something and then it releases.

00:00:21:23 - 00:00:42:13
Moondara
If I bear off or I'm out of alignment. So it's kind of cool. A little practice was learning to communicate with my guide. And as I'm walking ahead, I see this frame. It's of someone who passed away, has a picture, now, has flowers and, you know, things like that. But the frame is kind of like, not correctly placed, like it's like hanging over it.

00:00:42:13 - 00:00:59:09
Moondara
So I fixed it. I'm like, oh, you know, anyone walking by, you know, let's let's fix it. Can someone put it in here? The intention is, like a little memorial, right, for this person. So I, like, fix it, like. All right, on the way back, I start thinking, okay, now let me get some work done.

00:00:59:13 - 00:01:20:19
Moondara
Let's make sure, you know, be productive today. So I'm thinking about, like, okay, what work can I do, right? What can I do? And I keep saying it like work, work. And my guide, you know, made sure to indicate I was out of alignment by using that work. So I was like, oh, in service. Right. Everything we do is in service to the source.

00:01:20:19 - 00:01:47:23
Moondara
Right? And this is something I had already learned right around my house and that kind of stuff like, hey, as I'm fixing, cleaning, moving, throwing stuff away, sending things to recycle, whatever the case may be, it's alignment, right? Where in service to the source. So as I'm walking, I start seeing, you know, pieces of trash like little pieces of aluminum, plastic and just trash that's really out of place in the sidewalk.

00:01:47:23 - 00:02:06:09
Moondara
So I'm like, you don't want let me pick these up and I'll throw them away in the nearest trash can or recycling bin just down the road. So it turns out. So start building up. I'm like, okay, we're in service to the source, right? I'm like, this is my neighborhood. And I should, let's pick this stuff up and keep walking.

00:02:06:11 - 00:02:29:07
Moondara
My hands start getting full really quick. I'm like, wow, there is a lot of trash here that needs to be picked up, and it's on a place you could clearly see that, okay, this is probably been here quite some time. And trucks that pass by, you know, to clean the streets, you know they automatically sweep the streets. Just keep missing these cars in the corners that they're in stuck in and things like that, that they just can't get to them.

00:02:29:07 - 00:02:46:18
Moondara
And you know, they can only clean so well. Right. And they get as much as they can, but they're not going to stop. And pick up a piece of trash. But I'm already walking here, right? So I'm like, hey, let me do it. Let me pick it up. It's in service to the source. And I noticed that as long as I kept saying that to myself, oh, this isn't service to the source, right?

00:02:46:20 - 00:03:08:15
Moondara
My hand started filling up. Okay, that's enough trash. And it's like, no, it's in service to the source. One more, just one more. Right. And we're picking stuff up. So I'm like, okay, luckily the trash can was just down the road and I'm like, okay, let me go throw this stuff out. I kept recycling because I, the trash can was from a local business and they didn't have a recycling bin, so I just threw the trash out.

00:03:08:15 - 00:03:23:17
Moondara
The next house that I saw, that I saw the cans were, you know, pretty much, next to the sidewalk. I go and I, you know, put the recycling stuff in the recycling bin. I'm like, if the neighbor comes out, I just went, oh, I'm sorry. You know, I hope you don't mind me putting it in your recycling bins.

00:03:23:19 - 00:03:39:07
Moondara
And sure enough, I had a little bit more trash that I picked up on the way. So I put it in the trash can. And then I see in their trash can, they had a big piece of aluminum like container and I'm like, oh, this is definitely recyclable. So I took it out and I put it in the recycling bin.

00:03:39:07 - 00:03:59:16
Moondara
And then I was like, okay, but this is now too much, right? I'm just like, I can't be going through people's trash and, you know, correcting their non recycling practice frame. We should all be recycling. But that was too much. I was like, okay, I can't be doing this. So then I thought, okay, let me bring trash bags with me.

00:03:59:16 - 00:04:19:21
Moondara
I'm going to bring two trash bags on these walks whenever I have to walk my dogs, I'm going to be carrying two bags, one for trash and one for recycling. And then and I notice how it felt like just every time I said it's in service to the source. It's in service to the source. It felt good. It felt like, hey, this is no longer like a job.

00:04:19:22 - 00:04:36:19
Moondara
It's no longer work when you when I kept saying it's in service to the source, I just keep feeling that, like, okay, I could pick up more, I could pick up more. And then and the next walk, I look forward to it because I look forward to picking up trash because it'll be in service to the source. It's my community.

00:04:36:21 - 00:05:09:02
Moondara
I live here. Bonus. But when you say it's in service to the source, it just felt right. I think it's interesting to note that while I was able to notice the memorial during my walk, I didn't notice the trash initially, but on the way back, as my guide indicated, you need to realign. I shifted my thinking from work to service, and then I started noticing the trash.

00:05:09:04 - 00:05:29:08
Moondara
While the memorial stands out because it's a memorial on the side of the road, the trash does not. So when you walk in, see how much stuff you actually notice, because it's probably things that are just sitting there and no one's noticing them because we're not looking for trash. So I wanted to throw this out there for you guys.

00:05:29:08 - 00:05:47:16
Moondara
If you're out there in your neighborhoods and you're walking around, take some trash back with you and just pick up the stuff and just start saying that it's in service to the source. It's in service to the source, right? And sure enough, I see this cool purple bandana, on the floor. And I'm like, oh, this is nice.

00:05:47:22 - 00:06:03:19
Moondara
Okay, so I'm going to keep this. It's purple look really nice. I'm like, yo, this I'm going to consider this a gift. I think the source is just like, here you go. Pretty cool. Give that a, like, just lay it out there and I'm like, all right, I'm going to keep that as a memento. So I'm just going to hang it here, you know, next to my computer desk.

00:06:03:21 - 00:06:20:17
Moondara
And just so I remember, anytime I'm getting ready to go for a walk, I see this purple bandana. I don't forget to trash bags because you never know. You may need to be in service to the source, so that's pretty much it. They don't want to make a long one, but yeah, try that and see what you find out there.

00:06:20:22 - 00:06:38:08
Moondara
It's kind of cool. But yeah. This is your cosmic homie Moondara, catch you on the next one.
